A Little Perspective

A number of new issues have recently popped up into the exciting life of the Wasilla Witch. Her husband came in sixth in the big race yesterday. Isn't it nice to see the bully butthead get a little lesson in humility? These photos from Greta's site show her with Piper at the end of the race. There is no mention of any other family members being present. The teaser ad for Greta's interview with the Palins to be aired tomorrow night is currently running on Fox. The ad implies that Tripp Johnston will be present and on camera, but I'm not holding my breath. The other big story is that Sherry Johnston made her court appearance in Palmer with her new, high-priced lawyer Friday the 13th. I would like to speculate for a moment on the possible ramifications of these events.

A People Magazine story dated January 12th offers an interesting opening sentence. Paraphrasing the quote here, it states that Jim Palin cheered the fact that he was a great grandfather as the family told the magazine about Bristol's pregnancy. This story was supposedly confirmed to the magazine by Colleen Jones, Bristol's great aunt. Many questions have appeared recently concerning the actions of Chuck Heath, Sarah's father, in the release of certain information such as the birth of Tripp and the birth of Trig back in April 2008. His name has come up recently as a person who may have made at least one phone call as a veiled threat to an official involved in the Troopergate scandal. I have not found a determining statement as to where Jim Palin lives or if his mention in the People story even makes sense. As with practically everything surrounding this secretive, scandalous family, almost nothing ever seems to logically fall into place as it normally would. The more I read, the more confused I get, and I suspect this is the plan this devious family had in the first place.

This story from The National Enquirer print edition last month mentions a few details that offer conflicts and questions concerning the existence of Tripp Johnston and the Johnston family's relationship with the Palin family. The article clearly implies (a) that Tripp was, indeed, born to Bristol and Levi; (b) The Palins despise the Johnstons; (c) no Johnston has actually seen Tripp; (d) Levi is spending time with The Palins; and (e) Sarah is not sure she wants Bristol to marry Levi anytime soon.

No mention has been made of Levi's attendance at the interview with Greta on Fox, but he has been reported to be in Palmer with his mom. There has been some speculation that Sherry's new attorney was hired by Sarah to help the drug bust go away, but I question that concept after learning that (a) Rex Butler is a person Sarah is not likely to associate with and (b) why would Sarah hire someone to get Sherry off if she hates her so much? Isn't it much more likely, as I have also read, that Mr. Butler despises everything Sarah stands for and therefore volunteered his services to Sherry to spite Sarah, while gaining publicity for his career? Other speculators have mentioned the possibility that Tripp does exist and the rumored high price for his photos has been paid to Bristol and Levi, so they would have the cash to buy Sherry an expensive lawyer. If this is the case, why would People Magazine allow Greta to show the baby pictures they have paid for? I doubt they would, but I bet at least a little more than 50% that this scenario is not the true one, anyway. My general opinion is that if People had paid such a high price for exclusive photos, they would have released them while the story was fresh.

This brings us back to the referenced Enquirer article. If there really is a Tripp, why and how has his presence been so effectively guarded for so long? How could Levi, Bristol, and Tripp have remained so completely out of sight for nearly two months now? My best guess is that we shall not actually see Tripp Johnston tomorrow night on the Fox News Channel. We most certainly will not see both Tripp and Trig together on camera. Some bloggers have already mentioned that a substitute baby may be shown, but I'm not sure these crazies would go that far. What I expect is more unprovable teasing talk and innuendo. We may actually see Bristol, but I do not expect to see Levi. I have never expected Levi and Bristol to marry simply because that ship has long ago sailed, especially considering the evangelical prudes that the Palins are trying to impress. Of course I'm just a speculator myself, so I could be as out to lunch in my pajamas as much as the next blogger. My best guess, though, is that Bristol is the mother of Trig, and if there is a Tripp, he was born to Bristol much later than December 27, 2008.

The leading rationale for thinking that Sarah has paid for Sherry's attorney is to keep Sherry quiet and make sure she stays that way. Now the plot gets really thick. The most obvious reason for any voter to want to see the Wasilla Witch discredited as soon as possible and as thoroughly as possible is that she so obviously has attained her position of power as a big fish in a small puddle through the careful manipulation of a small-town culture. Her scruples are practically nonexistent and her spiteful, mean schoolgirl tactics have repeatedly exposed machinations that would make most politicians blush. The total absence of any squealing from any of her previous associates with her knives protruding from their backs has been completely astounding. This is the key issue in all this madness. Why is no one talking? The choices are bribery, blackmail, bullying and threats. Did I leave anything out?

The members of the family quoted have probably not been around the Todd/Sarah Palin family for some time. Great grandfather Jim lives in a retirement community in the southwest (AZ I think), and the great aunt lives in Washington state. No comments come from the family members in Alaska.

I, too, think we will not see Trigg on Greta's show. It will be interesting to hear what Bristol has to say, but we certainly cannot expect any "hardball" questions from Greta.

This will be another "celebrity" interview. I frequently look in on the Team Sarah chat room to see what the devotees are concerned about. They might as well be discussing a movie or sports star. Anything political is Obama bashing.

Rex Butler (what a great name, brings visions of Clark Gable) is likely providing pro bono representation to Sherry Johnston. I think this is Sherry's "gotcha." There is quite a lot on other sites about SP's lack of inclusion of minorities in her administration. (However, to be fair, they do not mention Bill McAllister, her press secretary who has black ancestry.) Much has been made about her lack of acknowledgement of the Juneteenth celebration but remind us of her remarks and visit to the Alaska Independent Party annual meeting.

Interesting that Chuck Heath was making phone calls on behalf of the Palin administration while Tood was busy with the Iron Dog. Why does Sarah not take care of these problems herself?

Such an interesting family.

Sarah wants to be the position to say "I wasn't aware of what s/he said/did...that's why she has other ppl doing her vocals, believe me, they would not do it with out her knowing in advance...think back to her trying to fire ppl in Wasilla because they were not LOYAL to her, so in my pj wearing opinion, she knows & directs the actions of others.

As far as leaving anything out, I personally would include fire & killing - and I'm not talking about wildLife...

My errors: I meant Tripp, not Trigg. Also meant Todd, not Tood (freudian slip?)

OK, on gretawire today, there is a picture of Bristol holding (supposedly) Tripp... However, to me, in this ONE picture, he looks a bit younger than six, almost seven, weeks old... Just my own little opinion, also, too!

Actually, I thought just the opposite, Littl'Me. I thought the sleeping baby looked pretty good-sized for 7 weeks (but what do I know? I've never been a mommy).

Two things we can see for sure in that photo: the kid's sleeping, just like Trig always seemed to be; and his little face isn't visible.

How do we know for sure that this Greta interview didn't happen when she saw the Palins in November? Will we see more of Bristol than just her head and shoulders (dating the interview, possibly?)? Will we see the baby awake, and facing the camera?
