2012
Today is not only the first day of 2012 and two days prior to the Iowa Caucus. It is also the anniversary of the release of my most serious book of predictions, Paradigm Shift: The Palin Matrix. My statement still stands that this is the only book that tells the whole truth of Babygate with all its background information, suppositions, and possible scenarios. If you want to read about Babygate, Paradigm Shift is still your best and only choice. This article by Robert Freeman posted at Common Dreams today exquisitely spells out America's current economic disaster and how we got here. Aside from the Babygate issue, most of the content of Paradigm Shift describes the same story, only in a more circuitous, in-depth manner. I have spent the past several months planning my next book of lighter nostalgia hopefully to be released by Halloween of this year. This brief post concerns my political predictions of this election year. You can look back at this and laugh at my arrogance at some point in the future when some or all of these have proven to be incorrect.
In spite of whatever happens in Iowa over the next four days, I expect Mittens to ultimately be the Republican nominee. Just look at today's Intrade report. Mitt is currently holding at 77%. Of course I realize that these are Wall Street Republicans, as opposed to Evangelical Republicans, supporting these Intrade figures, but which matters more in the final result, the big money on Wall Street or the hayseeds of a small state with a deeply homogeneous population? The pundits expect the clown car to lose a few occupants within the next 100 hours, and that prediction will probably come true, although I hope not. The longer the clowns continue to clutter up the choices for the Evangelical voters, the better for America!
I am not going to attempt to predict the 2012 Presidential winner. Surely it will be either Mr. Flipflops or the current White House resident. My biggest concern is that the evil Eye of Newt will not be kicked out of the clown car at some point during the next three months.
Robert Reich has stated his opinion that Hillary will replace Biden as the VP on the 2012 ticket. As much as I like this idea, I am afraid I cannot give it more than a 30% probability.
The biggest negative consideration of the Hillary-as-VP concept is her age. I have a very difficult time imagining Hillary running for President in 2016. The person we need for that position is Elizabeth Warren. I have less than zero hope that Warren will be asked to join the 2012 ticket, but the smartest thing the DNC could do at this point would be to offer her precisely the same opportunity they gave future Senator Barry in 2004. Unfortunately I don't think these wimps have the guts. Maybe if enough women make the plea to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz....
Of course I plan to push the button for all-Democrats later this year, but if I had a choice of outcome of Obama with a Republican Congress or Mittens with a Democratic Congress, I much prefer the latter combination. I like and respect Obama, but I am certainly not an Obamabot. The predictions at Intrade on this issue look scary!
My best guess for the premiere of the HBO movie Game Change is 8 p.m. Central Time on Sunday March 4, 2012. Here are the reasons. HBO usually premieres its own movie productions on a Sunday night at this hour. Voters go to the polls in Alaska, Idaho (Sarah's birth state), Georgia (Newt's state), and Massachusetts (Mitt's state) the day before. Voters hit the significant states of Ohio, Virginia, and others two days later. The movie will be on the subject matter of only the last few chapters of the book. Take a look at the complete cast of the movie. There is neither a Barack nor a Hillary on the list! When I first heard HBO was making a movie of Game Change, I predicted that it would be released at some point between Thanksgiving 2011 and April Fool's Day 2012. I do not fully understand the network's reason for waiting until nearly the last minute, but since this is apparently the case, I predict that the key dates listed above will play a part. Did I mention that this date will be approximately the Fourth Anniversary of the birth of Babygate?
With each passing day, I am less certain that we shall ever see a book entitled The Wild Ride. I check Fred's listings at Amazon practically every day to no avail. Of course this is one of my predictions that I most hope proves to be incorrect. I want to read that book as much as you do, and even more, I want it to be widely successful. Will its release coincide in some manner with the release of Game Change? I certainly hope so because at this late date, that piggyback ride may be the only thing that can bring it national attention. I would love it if SP would enter the Presidential race in any official capacity, but that hope wanes with every passing day, too. There is little doubt that she could wreak havoc with my least favorite voting bloc, the Evangelicals, if she climbed into the crowded clown car, but I am not holding my breath. Raise your glass and make a New Year's toast to one more clown climbing into the car!
Weekend Update: The official premiere date for the HBO Movie Game Change was released last night just before the return of Bill Maher's Real Time. The movie will premiere on Saturday March 10, 2012. I missed it by six days. Here are my two excuses: (1) I thought HBO would want to premiere the movie just prior to, instead of just after, Super Tuesday, at which point Mitt Romney will be extremely like to have cinched the nomination; and (2) I thought HBO usually premiered their own productions on Sunday instead of Saturday, and I am quite surprised that the network chose a time directly opposite a 2012 caucus, in this case, what's the matter with Kansas? I was wrong! Can you say those words, Sarah, or will you disintegrate into a poof of smoke like a wicked witch, if you do? I recommend that anyone who has HBO should throw a Game Change Party, inviting all your friends who do not have access to HBO to join you at the premiere!
On another front, Brad Scharlott has thrown down the gauntlet to Fred, his associates, and his followers. Who do you think actually knows the whole story, him or me? Stay tuned to this Bat Channel.

Hi Floyd,
Happy First Day of 2012! Do you know who Fred is or anything about the holdup of the book? Can you let us know who Fred is?
Ha! I want to ask the same thing as you, Jo: how can you check Fred on amazon, Floyd? You must know who s/he is. But can you tell us?
Re bringing the Palin Hoax to nat'l attn: how about on Amy Sedaris' next visit to Dave Letterman, she sports a fake pregnancy (from her imaginary boyfriend Ricky), and Dave "outs" her -- and she complains "If SP can get away with it, why can't I?" The two of them are wonderful together, and they'd do a great job. I mailed this idea to AS and DL, but no response of course. Sigh.
I have been tracking Fred's previous books for months. There are several very serious obstacles to the release and sales success of The Wild Ride, and they are not the ones you have been led to believe. I shall tell no one what I know until The Wild Ride is either released or I am sure that it will not be released. As I have said, I want it to be a national success as much as you do and I do not intend to give any enemies of the cause a heads up. Most of what you really want to know is buried in the blog wars, as it has been for the past three years. I have tried to lead readers of my blogs to the truth as accurately as I can. The problem is that too many find it all too easy to shoot the messenger instead. Try re-reading the classic posts at left under Paradigm Shift. Most of the answers can be found in the top five listed articles. You will not find Fred's identity in there, but if and when his identity is revealed, many things will become clearer to you.
Thank you, Floyd, for the best explanation I've heard re Fred. I respect your intention to remain silent. A great 2012 to you and all your readers.
Since Fred has been outed at the serpentsheart blog, can we conclude that you are now sure that his Wild Ride book is not going to be published? By the way, he's scheduled to give a talk in Anchorage tonight, just hours from now as I write. I wonder if anyone will go and ask about Babygate from the audience.
First of all, I did not out Fred as you stated at Serpent's Heart. I have never commented at that blog, and if I did, it would be under my real name, as always. Someone else has finally waked up and done his or her homework, as I had encouraged many to do often over these past months. I do not know who the Anon commenter is, but my best guess is that it is someone we know under a different pseudonym. Overall, I am glad to see that someone else has decided to confirm my story. The depth of the problem lies with the bloggers who have known these secrets for years and have been protecting their queen. I do not personally place a value judgement on someone else's flavor of morality. My concern has been from the beginning that Sarah Palin's political fraud needs to be exposed. The secrets that have been held by the bloggers are not actually the problem. The problem is that these bloggers have been obfuscating the truth for three years now. We cannot build a solid foundation on quicksand, and that is abstractly what these bloggers have been trying to do. They have been perpetrating secrets among each other, all the while keeping most of their followers in the dark.
I cannot answer your question directly, as I do not claim to absolutely know the correct answer. What I can say is that I have many sources and documents that back up the material that has appeared at Serpent's Heart in recent days. I have consistently hoped that this behind the scenes mess would not prevent the exposure of Babygate. That is why I have waltzed around the subject. I do not wish to be the one who blocks the exposure of Babygate, yet at the same time, with every bit of new information I acquire and every passing day that there is no evidence of the appearance of The Wild Ride, it increasingly looks like it is a dead idea. There is never going to be a book successfully published and marketed as most of the Babygators so deeply desire. There will be my book, but no others will discuss the subject in detail because for one reason or another, they can't.
Right now I am awaiting the reactions that will occur tonight and tomorrow morning. I have mentioned various reasons in the past why The Wild Ride will never see the light of day, but that does not mean that somehow it will not be published. You are the one who discovered the keynote speaker tonight. I would be quite surprised if a certain blogger in Anchorage has not already set up a meeting. Will the course of that meeting be changed? Will tomorrow's story be the truth? None of us knows at this point.
To those of you who are seeking the truth without blinders on, you are
encouraged to contact me directly through e-mail at any time. I am
always glad to interrelate with my readers on a personal basis. Isn't it
time all of you recognized the simple fact that I have never hidden
behind anonymity? Why would I not tell you the truth as I know it to be?
When are you going to figure out that you are never going to get the
total truth anywhere else?
Floyd, I did not state that you outed Fred - my phrasing was "Fred has been outed". Your denial that you were the source of that info is clear and, to my mind, convincing. In the course of following up the hints and links given by the nameless commenter (and perhaps there is even more, possibly even worse, that I did not see) I found enough skeletons in the closet to adequately explain why someone, and especially someone's wife and family, would not want to be publicly associated with the exposure of the Wild Ride, with what it says not only about a former governor, but the very highest circles of power in our country. Anyone associated with an attack on those circles should expect blowback, of course, and someone with one foot in the world of respectability could find that footing dislodged.
Who among us is in a position to cast the first stone at Fred and his alleged Palinospheric collaborator, Ms. A_____? Fred was very sloppy with funds entrusted to him, and when this was discovered made a full confession and reimbursement and resigned his law license. If Ms. A_____ is the person she is said to be, it seems clear that both Fred and Ms. A_____ have derived income from participating in purveying sexually-oriented entertainment to consenting adults. How bad is that? Verizon, in my very own home, offers me pay-per-view ooportunities to see that kind of thing. A Supreme Court justice is well known to have rented many explicit videos in the days when one went to the store to get them on VHS.
If the Babygate manuscript were offered to me, to publish under my own name, I would probably decline because of my own history of crimes, misdemeanors, and embarrassing missteps, only some of which have come to the attention of the authorities and would show up in a Google search. It seems as if Palin's accuser, like Caesar's wife, must be above suspicion. Or else be like Ms Tripp, who has just published her book about Todd - "when you ain't got nothin', you got nothin' to lose, " in Dylan's memorable phrase.
Let us not talk falsely now. The hour's getting late.
and i have inadvertently outed myself here - i usually write as "mistah charley" and for consistency's sake will try to keep using that pseudonym
BABYGATE NEEDS A SPOKESMODEL
Since getting Verizon FIOS as my tv source early this year, I have not
taken advantage of the opportunity they afford me to see porn on a pay
per view basis. One thing I have done, however, is spend time watching a
number of shows with reporting and commentary on current events - like
those on CNN, MSNBC, and FoxNews. I think shows like this - and their
radio counterparts - are probably THE major channel for influencing mass
opinion these days - opinion leaders watch these, as well as appear on
these, and those further from the center see these and then relay what
they hear to members of their social networks who are less politically
engaged.
If a Babygate book is published, it will have impact to the extent that
the author can appear on these programs and talk with members of the
commentariat, and get the members of the commentariat to talk among
themselves, about the Wild Ride hoax and the other evidence.
Joe Friday would say (and now I can watch Dragnet reruns on my tv, as
well as in my head) - "just the facts, ma'am". But obviously it's NOT
just the facts. It's all done with people, and people respond to the
whole package. Fred and/or Audrey are tainted.
Who can we turn to? In the words of the song from "How to Succeed in
Business Without Really Trying", we need someone people can not only
believe, but believe in.
"You have the cool, clear
Eyes of a seeker of wisdom and truth;
Yet there's that upturned chin
And that grin of impetuous youth.
Oh, I believe in you.
I believe in you.
I hear the sound of good, solid judgment
Whenever you talk;
Yet there's the bold, brave spring of the tiger
That quickens your walk.
Oh, I believe in you.
I believe in you.
And when my faith in my fellow man
All but falls apart,
I've but to feel your hand grasping mine
And I take heart; I take heart
To see the cool, clear
Eyes of a seeker of wisdom and truth;
Yet, with the slam-bang tang
Reminiscent of gin and vermouth.
Oh, I believe in you.
I believe in you." ---song by Frank Loesser
I am sorry that Fred and Audrey can't do this, but they can't, no matter
how knowledgeable and sincere a presentation they can make (sincerity
is important - Obama was elected President because he can appear to be
sincere, and Romney might well have been his successor except he is NOT
skilled at appearing to be sincere).
Who else is there? Joe McGinniss didn't go there. I sense that Brad S.
has fewer fans among antiPalinistas than he had several months ago.
Floyd Orr might be a possibility. He would have to put out a smaller
and more focused book - and talking on tv would require a very
disciplined approach, to hit only the high points.
Ideally, though, the Spokesmodel would be a woman, preferably someone
who has given birth. She would have a plausible back story for why she
worked so hard to reveal Palin's falsehood - maybe she has had a child
with medical issues herself. She would be familiar with the media
jungle. Maybe she could strike a deal with those who have accumulated
data and documents so a lot of the work that has already gone into this
wouldn't have to be redone. Nevertheless, the book that emerged would
have to be truly her own synthesis.
If only we could find a heroine like this.
(I also posted this at Laura Novak's blog just now; to be less coy here, I am suggesting that LN herself could be the Spokesmodel I describe.)
Over at Immoral Minority so far as I know there has been no "official" response but the host did allow a brief summary to be posted in comments (with a referral to a the discussion at Laura Novak's blog) and someone replied who did read it. IM is evidently strongly committed to a partisan viewpoint, not a comprehensive search for the truth.
I have been following your comments for a long time, Charley. Are you really a P.h.D.? Would you mind telling me in what field? You can always reply directly to me at ice9 at nctv dot com, if you wish to remain discreet. Thank you for your comment.
